Emilio Dalmau

Emilio Dalmau (1876 - 1950) is known for Painting.

Emilio Poy Dalmau cultivated the portrait and the subjects of genre. He began his formation in the Superior School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving of San Fernando, in Madrid, where he had as main teachers Joaquín Araujo and Francisco Padilla. At the age of twenty-six he was granted a pension in Rome, after winning the public competition with his work "El capuchón negro", a canvas that was praised by the public and critics.He participated assiduously in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts, where he obtained honorable mention in 1895 and 1897, third medal in 1901, 1906 and 1908, and second medal in 1910.
